CareNet's mission is to provide food and assistance to people in need for whom government or other forms of assistance are not available.
The goal was to form a collaborative effort between local agencies and churches in a central location to better meet the needs of the community without duplication of services.
In addition to food, they provide limited financial assistance (where funds are available) for utilities, fuel, prescriptions, and emergency rentals.
CareNet strives to provide immediate help to the residents of Macon County who need it due to a crisis situation.
CareNet provides these services to everyone within the limits of its resources, regardless of race, gender, age, religious affiliation, or creed.
CareNet encourages other nonprofits, organizations, and support groups in various ways to fulfill their individual mission.
