THIS PANTRY IS FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE AN EMERGENCY NEED OF FOOD ONLY! Clients must be a resident of Ogemaw county AND meet income eligibility OR be enrolled in WIC, SNAP (Bridge Card) or Senior Commodities; OR be in emergency need of food.Valid ID will be required at EACH visit.

The Pantry Hours:
Three Thursdays a month
10:00am to 1:00pm
Except for Holidays.
We will open on an alternate day if a holiday falls on a Thursday.

We occasionally have to close due to church schedule conflicts or due to weather. We will close for weather if State & Federal offices are closed. Check our Facebook page or call the office to confirm we will be openClients are limited to ONE pantry visit ONCE per month. (This does NOT include Mobile Food Pantries or Senior Commodities Distributions).
Pantry hopping is not allowed and may result in ineligibility from all county food pantries. Names and other personal information is shared among the various pantries.Only ONE member of a household may visit a pantry, this includes households with unrelated adults living together at the same address.

Food distribution is based on the number of people permanently living at one address whether they are related or not.Clients must promptly notify the Pantry with any changes of address, phone, eligibility or number of persons in household.You may not pick up food for another person.

Appointments are required. Walk-ins will no longer be served. When our appointment book is full we will not accept any more for that week. Please call the church office on the Monday of the week you would like to come in. You may not make an appointment more than one week in advance.Please call the church office to cancel an appointment if not able to keep it.

Type and quantity of food changes weekly and is limited to quantity on hand. No rain checks. Quantity of food given out is based on the number of people in each household. You may not receive the same type or amount as the next person.Please bring in your own bags, boxes or totes.The Side Door Food Pantry at Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church reserves the right to refuse service to any client who: appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol or; acts in a threatening or violent manner or; violates any of the above policies.This institution is an equal opportunity provider and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.
