The Food Bank of Corpus Christi supplies food to hunger-relief programs in eleven counties: Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Duval, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces and San Patricio.
Their Kid's Cafe and Backpack programs provide supplemental food to school children on weekends and after school.
They also operate a Mobile Pantry Program that increases service in rural areas.

How can I get some food
First thank you so much for the food we are given. We really appreciate the food during these hard times. I would like to offer some suggestions. When you give us food please think about what you would buy for your family. Would you buy 15 cucumbers or 4, 7 lettuce heads or 1, 15 mangos or 2, 6 cabbage heads or 1, 20 carrots or or 5 carrots , 7 bags of rice or 1, 5 bags of pinto beans or 1. We get so much vegetables for us two seniors that we cannot eat them. I hear persons in line saying its a lot of vegetables but I sell them to the local restaurants. What a waste of excess food that is given to us. Most of the time all the vegetables are rotten, I do not understand why they are given to us if they are rotten. I would contact local farmers to set up at the exit of the line to accept all the rotten vegetables so that we do not have to carry home and to our trash cans. I would appreciate another brand of chicken and meat. The bags that we get are horrible in taste. I boil it for the dogs and they do not eat it. Maybe change to another meat provider. I would like a survey for us to fill out of the food that is given to us so that we can tell you if we like them or not. All of us do not like the same food. I have been getting the same spaghetti sauce for a year and we do not like it because it tastes horrible. We love pinto beans but we do not like kidney beans, split pea or all the other type of beans that you give us. I do not want to seem picky but I see all that waste and we need to communicate better with each other and to what we do and do not like. I hope that my comments are not offensive to you all.
