Just found out a few weeks ago that FMCOC is renting out a location between their food pantry and thrift store, that is manufacturing wooden pallets. The renter puts food pantry and thrift shop patrons and their children at risk, from debris, (metal screws, nails and stacked pallets and moving equipment) during the days when their outreach is open . My friends have experienced having to walk through nails, screws in the passageway to the pantry and thrift store , as well as in the church parking lots....Office staff has been notified of the hazards to the patrons and fails to correct the problem with their tenant......
They give you a cart with items that you must push through a noisy work area to get back to the parking lot. Vegetables and fruits are mostly okay, mostly fresh but they run out often. Bread and cakes get bad quickly and often have mold spots. they require ID and I have seen them turn away people with ID.
