Foodbank Council Of Michigan Inc

The Food Bank Council of Michigan provides statewide leadership to food banks in their efforts to alleviate hunger through the distribution of surplus food to those in need. As the statewide association, the Food Bank Council of Michigan is the vehicle for donors who want to contribute to all of Michigan's food banks, therefore reaching all 83 counties in Michigan. The additional food provided to our member food banks and their distribution warehouses through FBCM allows each food bank to expand their programs and services to meet the needs of the communities they serve. Food banks provide a tax deductible, convenient and safe donation outlet for surplus items, misprints, shortfills, seasonal items, promotional items, customer refusals, overbakes and discontinued food items. This product is often diverted from disposal in landfills or as waste.
