Washington County Food Resources Inc

Food Resources, Inc. (FRI) has a contract with the Maryland Food Bank in Baltimore to distribute food to non-profits in the Western Counties of the state. Because of our ability to house large quantities of food, we are able to distribute food that would otherwise not be available to our local non-profits. FRI also saves its member agencies approximately $1.00 for every pound of product they obtain from our warehouse. This resulted in savings of over $800,000 in the last year, money that can be used for other operating or program expenses. This year we expect to distribute 600 tons of food at a value of $1,776,000!
