The Food Bank of West Central Texas collects and distributes food to more than one hundred and fifty hunger-fighting programs and agencies in thirteen counties: Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Comanche, Eastland, Fisher, Jones, Mitchell, Nolan, Runnels, Shackelford, Stephens and Taylor. Their Backpack and Kid's Cafe program provide supplemental food for school children on weekends and after school. On the last Friday of the month the food bank opens to the public to distribute bread and produce.
