Founded in 1982, Connecticut Food Bank is a private, nonprofit organization that serves emergency feeding programs in Fairfield, Litchfield, Middlesex, New Haven, New London and Windham counties. CFB is a partner of the America's Second Harvest network of food banks and food rescue organizations. Serving more than 650 feeding programs in our service area, including soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters and adult and childrens day care centers, CFB provides food annually for an estimated 250,000 people in need. In 2004 Connecticut Food Bank distributed 15.8 million pounds of food. Since 1982, we have distributed more than 120 million pounds of food.
